CLAT Exam Day Guidelines 2027
You are expected to follow the guidelines of the exam at the exam venue to avoid any discrepancies during the exam. Some important guidelines are provided below:
- The gate closes at 1:30 PM, 30 minutes before the exam. Once the gate is closed, you will not be granted entry inside the centre.
- It is advised that you should reach the exam centre an hour before the reporting time.
- The CLAT exam will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM. Carry the identity proof that is accepted for verification.
- Do not carry soft copies of the admit card and ID proof. Carry a printed copy of the admit card and ID proof in original.
- You can carry either a blue or black ballpoint pen to fill the OMR sheet. You are allowed to carry a transparent water bottle inside the CLAT exam centres.
- Any kind of electronic devices or metallic ornaments are strictly prohibited.
- During the exam, read the question carefully and then fill in the OMR sheet. Initially, fill in the required details mentioned on the OMR sheet correctly.
- Provide your attendance when asked. Provide the attendance details carefully. Any issue with the details would cause trouble.
- Do not forget that there is negative marking in CLAT UG. For each correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark, and -0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response.
- You should avoid wearing clothes with too many pockets or big buttons. It is recommended that you wear light clothing with few or no pockets.
