Gujarat Judiciary Registration: Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility for the Gujarat Judiciary is a bachelor’s degree and an LLB. Other eligibility requirements are listed below.

  • Candidates who have Gujarati Language in the secondary or higher secondary are eligible.
  • Candidates who have not studied Gujarati in 10th and 12th should pass the Language Proficiency Test in Gujarati.
  • The upper age limit is 35 years for general candidates and 38 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
  • Candidates practising as an advocate in an allied domain are eligible for the Gujarat civil judge recruitment exam.
  • Candidates who have passed the LLB 2009-2010 onwards should pass the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) to be called a practising judge.
  • A certificate in computer application/operation is mandatory to apply for the exam.

How to Apply for Gujarat Judiciary Exam 2026?

The link to the application form will be published on the Gujarat High Court’s website. Here are the steps to apply for the civil post.

  • Go to the official website, which is https://hc-ojas.gujarat.gov.in/.
  • Registered using your mobile number. The given mobile number should be valid, as it will be used in the subsequent communication process. 
  • After you fill out the required details, save the application by clicking on the “Save” button.
  • Once you save the details, a new window will open showing your application number.
  • Now use your application number and date of birth to log in and upload the scanned photo and signature.
  • You can use the application number and date of birth to log in and edit the details before the final submission of the application.
  • You need to click on “Confirm Application” for final submission. Once done, a confirmation number will be generated to your registered mobile number.
  • Now pay the fee online or offline, as per your convenience.

The following documents should be produced as copies during the viva voce conducted by the High Court of Gujarat.
