Is the CLAT Application Fee the Same for All Candidates?
No. The CLAT 2027 application fee depends on the candidate's category. General and OBC candidates have to pay ₹4,000, while candidates belonging to the SC, ST, BPL, and PwD categories have to pay ₹3,500. An additional ₹500 is charged if candidates choose to purchase previous years' CLAT question papers. Bank transaction charges, if applicable, are also payable separately.
CLAT Fee Payment Charges
Candidates must pay additional bank transaction charges, if applicable, when paying the application fee. These charges are separate from the CLAT application fee. The exact transaction amount is displayed in the payment gateway page after the candidate selects a payment method.
Therefore, the final amount payable during the transaction may be higher than the application fee because of the applicable bank charges.
For example, a candidate whose applicable CLAT fee is ₹4,000 should check the payment gateway for any additional transaction charge before completing the payment.
